A Message from your Board

With an eye toward having our most successful evening of Fun, Networking, and Fundraising, we are asking that our members attending the Event on the 16th bring a covered dish to share with the group. If you have a particularly favorite game you wish to share, bring it on the 16th and a table will be allotted for you and your guests.

We want this Event to be the best it can be, and your contribution will go a long way to ensuring that. The achievement of our goals within the Chapter depends on the membership and your commitment to the cause of success in business and scholarship within our community.

Bring your games and your Guests for a night of fun, fellowship, and support of a GREAT cause!

Our Chapter is sponsoring a Game Night/Silent Auction to be held April 16^th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Express, Summerville, and we cordially invite you to attend. Entrance fee is $10, with all proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund.

As a group of businesswomen who support the personal and professional growth of current and future female leaders in our neighborhood, a good deal of effort is put into raising capital to fund a scholarship that will assist a young woman in our community with her educational goals. This scholarship is awarded once per year, with the amount of that scholarship dependant, in large part, on this Game Night/Silent Auction to be held in April.

For this auction, we are seeking anything and everything (new and gently used items, and, of course, cash) that will support our goal of academic scholarship.

The last posting indicated that the book written by our October speaker, Harriet McLeod, “Good Morning Lowcountry!: Local Knowledge, Odd Facts, Recipes, Survival Tips for Living in the South Carolina Swamp,” would be for sale at our Meeting on October 17th for $14.95. The correct cost is $14.05, which includes tax, and Ms. McLeod will be available and happy to autograph your copy.
