Strength as a group
The greater Summerville / Charleston, SC chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), is a group of professional women who support one another’s business objectives as well as personal ones. Members live and work in all areas of the Lowcountry. We hail from Mt. Pleasant to Ravenel and Charleston to Goose Creek.
We are a diverse group. Our members are entrepreneurs, directors, managers, staff and employees of private and public companies; for profit and charitable.

The American Business Women’s Association is a national organization whose mission is:
To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership; education, networking support and national recognition.

We invite you to join us at our monthly meetings to network, learn and grow.
Meetings are the third Monday of the month at The Holiday Inn Express, 120 Holiday Drive, Summerville and there is no meeting fee to attend. Learn more about ABWA by viewing the national membership brochure.
Women: Second to none
Former Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao wrote in her report on Women Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century Conference, “Small business generates two-thirds of all new jobs in the United States, so it makes sense to focus on entrepreneurship and the bright, accomplished and hard-working women who are such an important part of it. Women entrepreneurs across America are second to none and willing to compete in any arena.”
